Along the development of Vietnam’s plywood industry, Giang Phan Company has been steadily growing and investing in production facilities, machines and equipment. We buy timber, peel off veneer, and manufacture plywood ready for domestic consumption and export.
We specialize in the production of different types and grades of plywood such as bintagor plywood, okoume plywood, birch plywood, film-faced plywood, commercial plywood, packing plywood , Laminated Veneer Lumber Packing plywood, ect. Our production capacity is about 5,000m3 per month.
Plywood production process
Step 1: Harvest and purchase raw matertials (natural timber) such as acacia, bodhi, eucalyptus, fillings…
Step 2: Preserve the raw materials (after harvesting, the timber will be soaked in water for a period time to avoid cracking. At the same time, soaking in water also makes the wood softer and easier to process).
Step 3: Peel off the timber (the timber will be peeled into sheets of differrent thickness. The common thickness is from 1.7 to 2.5 cm with the dimension of 127 x 64 cm.)
Step 4: Dry the sheets and classify them according to different grades (the thin sheets are dried in a drying chamber or by natural drying to reach a certain moisture. At the same time, low quality sheets will be removed).
Step 5: Assemble the veneer (specialized machines are used to assemble the veneers to meet the requirements of length and width).
Step 6: Cold press (the sheets will be glued and stacked on top of each other according to the required thickness. These sheets are interlocked in a perpendicular direction with the grain to create bracing, limit warping and shrinkage. They are then pressed together to flatten and ensure the glue is evenly spread.)
Step 7: Hot press (Hot press will harden the glue and the layers will be turned into a solid panel. They will then be cooled and the edges will be trimmed to get the standard size).
Step 8: Cut the wood into panels according to desired size, then the edges will be rubbed to make them smooth.
Step 9: Check the quality and sort the plywoods into different grades.
Step 10: Arrange the plywwod into packs, check the final products and place them in the warehouse ready for delivery to the customers.
